Feeding Instructions

Feeding instructions by weight of pet: 16-30 lbs. feed 1 1/4- 2 1/4 cups/day: 31-45 lbs. feed 2 1/4- 3 cups/day; 46-60 lbs feed 3 - 3 3/4 cups per day; 61-75 lbs feed 3 3/4 - 4 1/2 cups per day; 76-100 lbs feed 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 cups per day; over 100 lbs feed 5 1/2+ cups per day plus 1/2 cup per 10 lbs of body weight.

Feed Puppies, Lactating & Gestating Females: Puppies start to nibble on solid food at 3 to 4 weeks of age. We recommend moistening dry food with warm water or Solid Gold canned food through weaning (6 to 8 weeks of age). Maintain your puppy’s ideal body condition. Appetite changes are normal with most puppies. Lactating/gestating females may need two to three times more food than shown for Adult Dogs.

Switching to Solid Gold Pet Foods: Switching to any new dog food should be a gradual transition over 7 to 10 days.
